Dear Physicians for Weight Loss,
I am writing this letter to let you know that I am extremely grateful for all the support and education you have given me. It has been a little over a year now and I have kept the 30 pound weight loss off for the first time in my life. I have been on one type of diet or another since I was 8 years old. I am now 48 and have just figured out how to maintain my lifestyle and keep weight off, thanks to you all. I am eating regular healthy food and feeling great. I exercise 5-6 times per week and sleep great.
The counseling/education given to me was invaluable. I was told how much to exercise and what kinds of food to eat so I wouldn’t be hungry. Even on days I didn’t lose what I expected and felt discouraged, the doctor would explain to me to hang in there because I would be on the verge of a bigger dip the next visit. They were always right. I so appreciated the body composition analysis because it was a way I would see my body changing on paper even if the actual weight slowed that week.
The thoroughness of the medical aspect also was very impressive. I felt safe in what I was doing because a physician was monitoring me at every visit.
The best part for me is that I am not so afraid to continue to look at the scale because it hasn’t changed! I find this truly amazing. As long as I continue to use the tools you have given me, I believe the weight will stay off. Fitting into clothes I have never fit into before in my life is the thrill of a lifetime. I feel strong and healthy.
All of my friends ask me how I did it and I tell them all about you. Thank you so much for the gift you have given to me- the gift of a lifetime.
Sincerely and gratefully,
